I wondered the same thing as VP...it looks like rust, but that can't be...

In fact, it looks like it's about ready to fall down in a high wind...like it's rotting where it stands...

It seems there's an iron band at the top of the shingles that's spilling rust down the front. It looks like nobody cares, but it also looks so interesting because of the color and the drips. It's nice that you got the photo!
