Thanks Ciel, I was wondering here about the event, I love that hat and all beautiful artwork, I imagine it's difficult to create, imagine the right colours and design. Beautiful shot! Léia
I'll leave a wee comment on this page in particular as I've been to Quimper - we were quite amazed to find a Rue de Falkirk there (Falkirk was our nearest big town at the time). Lovely pictures and very random, unless that is you are zig zagging across Europe and the World on a daily basis.

Festival of what? Corn and ale? ;-)
Sure is a fancy headdress. Must have some kind of meaning. Looks a bit like a priest who got his stole on backward.
Very interesting head gear! :)
Exquisite! MB
This hat is splendid! Maybe next year......:)
Have a lovely day Ciel:)
I'm not an expert but this looks really wonderful...
@ Jacob: nothing to do with a priest, just the way people dressed until the beginning of the 20th century in Brittany.

Such beautiful handiwork!
I have to add that it would have been their 'Sunday best'.
I think the people of Brittany have a very interesting culture and history. It's a place that a really want to see.
A fascinating costume! The fall of the material from the hat looks as if it symbolises some kind of status! Beautiful colours!
Oh what a beautiful...headdress? Not sure what it is called. Nice indeed.
the detail and color are beautiful
