I never picture bricks when I think of castles but this looks very nice.

That is beautiful gothic, and so interesting with the contrast of stone and brick.

With a couple of religious icons, it could be the entrance to a church. It's kinda spooky, though...what goes on in the darkness beyond? Yiiiii!

The shadowed door draws me in like a horror movie. You know you should run in the other direction, but you can't. You just have to take a look.

You can creat HDR photos in Photoshop or Photomatix. You just need a series of three or more bracketed shots.

Now that is quite an ornate doorway. Just what is on the other side. MB

It's a beautiful door.I've enlarged the picture but I'm not sure about the Saint in the detail ornament in the top of the door.Maybe does it represent ( show ) Saint Michel?

Gorgeous doorway. So regal.

This is interesting: does it go into a wall? I notice the archway beside it, and think the arch goes through a wall....

@ all; what's behind it? A gorgeous series of staircases and rooms as they would have been in the 18th century.

@ Léia : je crois que tu as raison, c'est à mon avis Saint Michel terrassant le dragon.
