My camera seems to have become an extension of my amateur photographer eyes! All photos prior to 2007 are scanned and were taken with a Fuji camera.

Québec city, Québec, Canada, 2009

I failed to note the artist of this logger sculpture.

That is quite a sculpture...logging is very dangerous work from what I hear and one must be strong and nimble at the same time. I think this sculpture expresses such notions.

I'll bet you got along famously in Quebec, speaking French and all!

Certainly realistic. At first glance I thought it was a real person.

Glad to be of help, it is: L'Homme-Rivière. It is an unusual mionument and I was curious, so I checked it out.

"As easy as falling off a log" comes to mind.

I've been away from this blog for a while, but am enjoying scrolling down through your treasures.

Curieusement, en voyant la photo, j'ai tout de suite pensé à Paul Newman..et il a joué dans un film (le clan des irréductibles) où il joue justement un homme qui travaille sur les troncs transportés par les fleuves...

It's such a nice piece, it looks as if the "statue" is so concentrated at work!
God bless you!

Oh, we were in Quebec City when I was pregnant with my eldest (he's now 16). Your logger statue makes me want to revisit - some day.
