Is it made to open up for river traffic? Very interesting...love the Columbia River.

My son took us from Seattle to Canon Beach, and I remember crossing a bridge, but this looks far more awesome with its phenomenal scenery. Oregon is heaven on earth in my estimation. I cannot wait to return. Thanks for sharing this grand shot. Your composition is perfect in my eyes.

That is some bridge! I've never seen the Columbia personally...it really is a magnificent river, isn't it?

Superb photo, Ciel!

This makes me think of how it might have looked for 19th C. pioneers. I've never been to Oregon, but I have been to Seattle. Makes me want to pay a visit to that part of the world again...

My husband and I have traveled Interstate 80 several times, and this bridge is a familiar landmark. I don't have any photos of it, though!

That landscape looks so much more desolate than I remember ever seeing it. Neat bridge photo.

cool - it is like a tale of two bridges :)

That's a beautiful backdrop of the bridge. The bridge is long and the mountains are beautiful!

I recognized the landscape, but had to look it up to be sure of the location. It's right across the river from Maryhill. Did you go??? If not, why not :) Someday you have to!

I have been there. I love how on one side of the gorge we are in Wa. and the other Oregon. That gorge is magical!

«Louis» has been over this bridge!

«Louis» was out all day Sunday and unable to visit those who contributed to Sunday Bridges. Belatedly, he thanks you for your contribution.
