Weekend Reflections: Buddenbrookhaus, Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, 2010

Trees are reflected in Buddenbrookhaus, the setting of Thomas Mann's marvellous Buddenbrooks novel for James' Weekend Reflections.

Man, I've got to read Thomas!

One of these days. Very blue reflections. Was it a blue day? Very nice reflections. Looks like a nice day. I can see blue sky cracked everywhere by bare branches.

I like.

Love the blue cast to this one. Doesn't make me sad though, makes me want to smile. :)

Very nice.
Schleswig-Holstein is where my SIL's family is from. The ones that came to America and founded their ranches in the Ritzville-Cheney-Spokane area. I just read that in a book my daughter had me read. It was a family book celebrating their one hundred years ranching. It was written in 1986. MB

An already beautiful house with the plus of some nice reflections.

I like the fine branches in the top window. That divider between the windows gives a lot of visual interest.

superbe ce dégradé de bleu... Il y a dans cette photo un mouvement ascensionnel qui ne lasse pas de me surprendre...

What a beautiful shot - I love the way the reflected colors are different in each of the windows.

Nice one! The lighting looks strange and sort of mysterious!
