My camera seems to have become an extension of my amateur photographer eyes! All photos prior to 2007 are scanned and were taken with a Fuji camera.

Rue de la Monnaie, Lille, Nord, France, 2008

To the left is Hospice Comtesse, a 17th century hospice first built by Jeanne (Joan), countess of Flanders in 1236.

1236!! It always amazes me how much history you walk among where you live. If something is 100 years old here, it's old.

And this hospice is still in existence? And they care for patients who are not long for this world?

Amazing! Kudos to Jeanne, countess of Flanders.

I like the fancy orange tones in these façades.
