Sunday Bridge Series: Berlin, Germany, 2001

Old scanned photo of Oberbaumbrücke over Spree river for Sunday Bridge Series. I had a bit of fun editing the photo.

I can see you did have fun with this!
Those towers are pretty impressive.

Interesting looking bridge. Also a pretty good scan.

Yep! You did had good fun! Looks very much like a picture post card from about 1920 (well, except for those modern buildings in the background!).

Excellent work, Ciel!

Now, if only that bike and cart were a horse and chariot. The bridge does have a fairy tale feel to it.

What a fine bridge!! That is so cool with all the ornateness (is that even a word?).

Thanks for the info on Cross of Lorraine. I've seen one before, but I didn't know what it was called.

I'm way behind on blog visits this weekend, the weather was nice and there's lots of work to do outside.

Oh gosh, how come have we missed out seeing this while in Berlin? I'm furious with myself, but glad that you share this great image!
God bless you!

What an elaborate bridge! So much craftsmanship put into a utilitarian object. It elevates it to something more.

Ciel, to the best of «Louis'» recollection, this is the first time anyone has posted a bridge in Berlin on Sunday Bridges.

Absolutely unusual! Love the bike and the cart in foreground.
