Sunday Bridge Series: Menai Strait, Wales, 1998

This is an old scanned photo of 1826 Pont Grog y Borth or Menai suspension bridge, designed by Thomas Telford. It links Ynys Môn (island of Anglesey) to the Welsh mainland. Sunday Bridge Series is @ San Francisco Bay Daily Photo!

I like the deep, rich colors and the light shining on the bridge. Doesn't get any better than this, Ciel. Just lovely!

This is a strikingly appealing bridge, and the way you were able to compose the shot makes the photo even better. Beautiful photography. Fine work.

I always imagine that the Welsh language is completely different from every other but "pont" looks strangely familiar.
I went to the same school as Thomas Telford (a little over 200 years later though)

A great angle, especially with the mountains in the background.
