Sunday Bridge Series: Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland, 2001

Sandy Irvine Robertson O.B.E. and founder of the Scottish Business Achievement Awards sits in front of the swing bridge over the Water of Leith for Sunday Bridge Series. The sculpture is by Lucy Poett. My warm thanks to Juliet, the Crafty Green Poet, for helping me to identify the gent! This is an old scanned photo.

He looks ready to greet anyone - and possibly tell a story or two!

It scanned very well! Maybe you should create a new meme, Reflecting Bridges :-) The colors are very warm, but the trees tell a different story. The lines of the bridge are really cool too. There's a lot to like in this photo!

Looks like you made a sepia shot a long time ago! Very nice!

What did Sandy have to say to you?

Certainly is a fine sculpture!

He looks so prim sitting there. Gorgeous shot of the bridge in the background. The photo looks like it could be centuries old :-)

What a beautifully composed shot. I just love the old gentleman on the bench looking so pleased with life. I would love to know what he is smiling about. Everything in this shot is so aesthetically pleasing.

What a neat shot. Look at how calm the water is so you have this extreme reflection. Love the gent on the bench. MB

What an excellent photo for Sunday Bridges. It could also be used for Weekend Reflections and Bench of the Week. It's a perfect shot!

A serious bridge, a not so serious statue and a nice half bench!
