My point was (I think) that the more we begin to realize we are of one race, and as we begin to realize that "countries" are merely artificial divisions of our one race, the less need there is for patriotism ...
I go bananas when I hear some of the redneck teapot crackpots go on and on about the U.S. as being god's gift to the world and therefore can do no wrong. These are the same ones who won't eat French fries because they've been taught a lot of crap about France.
Yes, we could go on and on. But I think we're pretty much on the same page!
Ciel, if I had ever been to Venice, you know I would have taken a photo of this! How unexpected to see this image with the lizard. Great angle. Kudos to your dad.

Heehee Lowell. Weren't French fries invented in the U.S.? I saw something about that on TV, but it was ages ago. Maybe Ciel knows. . . .
