I've not heard of these painted hills in Oregon. So what causes the colors - some kind of mineral in the soil, right?

Looks very pretty if rather desolate!

Hi Ciel, I couldn't believe how amazing this place was when I saw it. And how many people have ever heard of this wonderful piece of nature out in the wilds of Eastern Oregon?
