My camera seems to have become an extension of my amateur photographer eyes! All photos prior to 2007 are scanned and were taken with a Fuji camera.

Weekend Reflections: Maintenon castle, Eure et Loir, France, 2010

Originally built in the 12th and 13th centuries, it has been added to several times to make it a lovely Renaissance home. It was subsequently partly rebuilt for king Louis the 14th's 'secret' and second wife, Françoise d'Aubigné, Marquise de Maintenon. A contribution to Weekend Reflections. More about Maintenon castle this way.

Sunday Bridge Series: Josselin, Morbihan, France, 2010

Josselin castle was built on the Oust river. It is said a first keep was built here in about 1008. Work on the current castle began after 1370, it was later transformed in the 15th and 17th centuries but from the river side, has kept its fortified look. To this day, it has remained in the same family and still belongs to Josselin, 14th duke of Rohan. It is also a wonderful doll's museum nowadays. Read all about this fascinating historical and mythical castle here. The official website is this way. This is this week's contribution to Louis La Vache's Sunday Bridge Series @ San Francisco Bay Daily Photo.
