My camera seems to have become an extension of my amateur photographer eyes! All photos prior to 2007 are scanned and were taken with a Fuji camera.

Sunday Bridge Series: Landerneau, Finistère, France, 2010

Pont de Rohan on the Elorn river in Landerneau is one of the oldest inhabited bridges in Europe, 500 years old this year! It existed since 1336 but was rebuilt in 1510. I believe it is the only inhabited bridge on a tidal river. A contribution to Louis la Vache's Sunday Bridge Series.

Weekend Reflections: Maintenon castle, Eure et Loir, France, 2010

Originally built in the 12th and 13th centuries, it has been added to several times to make it a lovely Renaissance home. It was subsequently partly rebuilt for king Louis the 14th's 'secret' and second wife, Françoise d'Aubigné, Marquise de Maintenon. A contribution to Weekend Reflections. More about Maintenon castle this way.

Paris, France, 2010

This is a pretty obvious photo for anyone who knows the Seine's banks in Paris. See those green and pink books? La bibliothèque verte (the green library for young teenagers) & la bibliothèque rose (the pink library for smaller children). Books that I swallowed by the mile when I was a kid and cherished... Ah! Enyd Blyton's Famous Five!

Loch Ness, Scotland, 1997

The scanning of this old film photo didn't do it justice unfortunately.
