The green, swampy water contrast nicely with the blue shutters and the red-tiled roof. All in all, it's a very nice shot...and it scanned well.

That water doth look too murky and "chartreusey"to swim or fish in, though.

And yes, I know chartreusey is not a word. But, at my age, I figure I can make up any words I want!

It looks so . . . French! And so picturesque, of course. Those little flat-bottomed boats are charming, and the blue shutters!

The colors here are wonderful. I have to agree, I don't think this would be my choice of swimming holes.

Sometimes our canals have this color, but slightly more transparent. Love this picture and the flat boats near the house. Definitely not for swimming, but interesting to be explored on water.
