Siena, Italy, 2009

People huddled in the shadow of the bell tower, seeking shade, as seen by my father.

I've seen other photos of Siena. It's so beautiful. Is this the large public square?

Typically Italian, and so gorgeous! It could be a painting. Interesting cropping.

@ Don: yes, it is the piazza del campo.

Curious image and a useful shadow. Here we are used to see this square in TV when they held the race of Palio around the square...

Yeah, we get a lot of rain to make things green. You know how that works! Having grown up in Southern California and then lived in the high desert of Colorado, I'm still loving the green and the rain that comes with it.

What a beautiful sunny day!
I've never visited Siena, looks a cool city in Italy! Who knows...some day! :)

That is amusing how so many were in the shade of the bell tower. I like the colors of the ground and the buildings.

Your father has such a good eye. I would have probably walked right on by this! Superb shot, again and please tell him I'm very impressed.

Must have been a warm day!
