This is almost sinister. I think I'll write a story entitled "Evil in the Cathedral," about a really bad bishop who drugged parishioners and hid them in a bell tower until they agreed to fund a new nave!

That's got to be a very old church! Look at those bricks, especially off to the right!

My, this looks as though this must be an extremely old section of the city. These buildings look quite ancient.

@ Jacob and Don and Krise: Locronan is a village dating back to the 16th century where just about every façade and house looks that old. It is classified as one of the prettiest villages in France and is architecturally listed so that no one can build anything modern there or use neons or any modern signs...
It is also a place of great piety as Saint Ronan is buried in the chapel (hence the name Loc (place in the Breton language)- Ronan. Every year a small procession is held there which turns into a major procession every 7 years.

Waiting for Jacob's story, I can say that this is a beautiful and inspiring image and the dramatic dark sky is a plus.
The Breton loc seems to come straight from the Latin locus...

I liked it a lot, this medieval atmosphere, ancients voices speaking in those stones!
Very interesting comments here as well! :)

So much detail against that dramatic sky! Fantastic!
